Teigha Beth Bailey

Teigha Beth Bailey is a Philadelphia based dance artist and yoga instructor. Teigha grew up in Kinston, North Carolina. She went on to study dance at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA where she received a BFA in Dance in 2018. While in college, Teigha had the pleasure of performing works by Bobbi Jene Smith, Helen Simoneau, Jesse Zaritt, Jennifer Nugent + Paul Matteson, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Curt Haworth, and Mark Caserta. She trained at The American Dance Festival in the summer of 2016 and 2017. Teigha joined OM Grown Dancers in 2016 under the artistic direction of Courtney Owen Muir. Teigha has also danced in several projects with The Dash Ensemble under the artistic direction of Gregory Dolbashian. 

In 2022, Teigha joined Britt Fishel and Artists under the direction of Britt Fishel. In 2023, BF&A traveled to France where they immersed themselves in rehearsals and filmmaking at the Moulin/Belle Residency in Périgord, France. The company then traveled to Paris, France performing Cognatus with Dance Theatre Surreality. BF&A premiered False Tongues at the Neighborhood House in November 2024. Since then, Teigha has taken a short break from dance to pursue a Nursing Degree at Community College of Philadelphia where she plans to graduate in August 2026. She is so grateful to be returning to continue to work alongside Britt and the talented artists for this upcoming season.
